We do this from time to time as a fun kitchen activity.  It’s one of those times where we don’t worry so much about making it special, we just have fun and get creative.  It’s always something that my wife and I do together. I have so much fun cooking with her; and, in the video you’ll hear my wife and I throwing some banter around and having fun. I use the store bought crust; because who has time to make pizza crust after a long day? I always make between 3 and 4 pizzas for the family to share and save some for lunch the next few days.

This time I did one regular pepperoni and Italian sausage pizza, a “Mexican style” pizza with enchilada sauce, tomato, onion, cilantro, freshly shredded Colby-jack, and fresh chorizo.  I topped it with some lettuce when it came out.  The third pizza was something my wife I really enjoy. It had fresh Buffalo mozzarella, artichoke hearts, ref bell pepper, red onion, sausage, chicken breast, spicy salami and a butter, garlic sauce.

On the side I made some fried artichoke hearts, which everyone really loves.  Those little guys are a serious crowd pleaser.

You simple drain a can of choke hearts, put them in a ziplock bag and add in some flour season with pepper, salt, garlic powder and a dash of cayenne.  Shake it well and the chokes will separate themselves out.  Dry them in some oil for about 2 minutes  a side until golden, remove and add salt.

Altogether pizza night was a huge success!

No ingredients listed because the beauty of pizza is that you can add anything… from spicy sausage to pineapple, there is no judgment passed on anyone’s pie.
